Sally Hansen Airbrush Spray Makeup Review

Hi Everyone  Last night I had a party to go to my and my friend wanted me to do her makeup for her when I got to her house. She had recently bought a new foundation that she was waiting to try, but wasn't sure exactly how to use it. The product was by Sally Hansen, and it is an Airbrush Spray foundation.

Here's how it works:

Before you spray it, make sure you hair is tied back or protected by a towel, headband or bandana of some sort so the makeup doesn't get in your hair. Make sure your face is completely clean, and does not have any other makeup residue on it other than a moisturizer. Make sure you shake the can before use. Next you're going to hold the can about 7-9 inches away from the face, and gently spray it all over the face making sure you get full coverage. Don't forget to cover your neck! If there are a few specks on your face, (there shouldn't be many), you can just take a sponge and blend it in. It should only take about a minute to dry completely

I absolutely recommend this product to anyone who uses foundation regularly. The only thing I find as a negative to this product is that I could imagine it would run out very fast. It is a smaller sized bottle and using it by spraying, a lot of it can go to waste. However, I REALLY loved using this different form of foundation!

The Product is only about $10.00, and can be found on Amazon or at your local drugstore!

I hope this review was helpful for you guys, please check out my blog and share it around !

Review: Beauty Blender Sponge !

So I wanted to do a review on this product because I think it will be really helpful for people who are having trouble getting their face makeup or foundation to even out and look smooth. Since I have found this product, I rarely use anything else to apply my foundation! Here's my overview :

The Beauty Blender is an egg shaped sponge that can be found at any Sephora, Ulta or even online. It is so easy to use and is really self explanitory. When I apply my foundation, I like to wet the Beauty Blender to expand the size of the sponge as well as make my foundation blend into my skin with a smoother finish. It is a great investment !! This product costs about $17.99.

I actually found a cheaper alternative in Walgreens that works the exact same way. The only difference is that this one is pointed at both ends. What I love about having the points on the ends is that it's easy to apply foundation to small areas around and underneath your eyes and around your neck and forehead. You can also use the Beauty Blender by rolling it against your skin and back toward your hair line. This product costs about $7.99 .

I hope this was helpful for you guys ! Please comment, share and suggest what you want to see next :)

Keratin Complex Smoothing System Review !

Hi everyone! So yesterday I decided to get the Keratin Complex Smoothing System. What it is, is a treatment for any kind of hair to release the frizz and make you hair more manageable. The brand I used is called Coppola, and I am really really happy with the results. I have really curly frizzy hair, so I knew that this is something I wanted done for a while. In this post, ill talk about the process and cost, as well as the results and how long its going to last. Hope this helps you out !

PROCESS :
When you go to the salon, they will first wash your hair with the Keratin clarifying shampoo. Once your done  getting shampooed, they will blow dry your hair, until its completely dry. Then, they apply the Keratin solution. When they apply it, it smells like coconut, but it may burn your eyes a little bit if your sensitive to chemicals in the air. They drench each piece of your hair with the solution, and comb it through until your hair is wet with the product. Then they let it sit for about 30 minutes. When thats done, they start to blowdry your hair again with the solution in your hair. Lastly, they will take a special flat iron that heats up to 450 degrees. This whole process takes about 3 hours, for me it took almost 4 because i have A LOT of curly, frizzy hair.

COST :
The average cost for this process and product is anywhere from $200-350 depending on the salon and who does your hair. Luckily I work in a hair salon, and was able to get a break ! However, I've seen the results on many people, and I have never heard a bad thing about it. You also need to purchase the Keratin Complex Shampoo and Conditioner which is about $22 a bottle.

THE RESULTS :
When I was finished, I was amazed at how straight, silky and shiny my hair was! I have never ever seen my hair look this perfect! At first I wasnt used to seeing my hair look this flat, but I'm used to it now and I love it. This solution is supposed to last for about 3 months, and when I wash my hair, its going to be wavy but more manageable when I get out of the shower before I straighten it. When you get it done, you cant wash your hair, put your hair up, pin it back, or do anything other than straighten it for 72 hours. It is SUPER  important to follow these rules if you want premium results.

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this treatment for anyone who has frizzy hair and needs it to be more manageable. I am so happy I got this done! Please leave comments and questions for me if you have any and I'd be more than happy to answer! Thanks so much for reading ! :)

The 3 BEST Lip Plumpers on the Market!

Many women struggle with thin lips and don't want to go through botox or lip injections to fix this "problem area". These options are also very expensive and can be a bit painful. Here I have found some really awesome lip plumpers that I have tested out and that I absolutely love ! They also wont hurt your wallet :) !

The Victoria's Secret Extreme Lip Plumper
This lip plumper is a really really nice one ! It comes in clear, and it looks really pretty over pink lip sticks or even nude lips. It does tingle when you apply it like most lip plumpers, but this one may burn a little bit if your not used to the feeling. It can be found in any Victoria's Secret for $26.00. I definitely recommend this lip plumper if you have thin lips, or even if you just want you lips to look fuller.

City Lips
This lip plumper was recommended to me by my mom ! She has thinner lips and when I tried this lip plumper I DEFINITELY saw a difference. You can find this lip plumper online on Amazon for $35.00. It comes in clear and in pink. It is also supposed to help reduce the signs of aging in your lips. I have the clear color and it is BEAUTIFUL for a natural look! It does make your lips feel a little bit stiff for the first half hour you have it on, but the feeling does fade and its not painful.

Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Polish
This lip plumper is by a company called Bare Escentuals.  This plumper can be found at any Sephora Store, for only $19.00. It comes in MANY colors and it is beautiful over any lipstick or on bare lips. It gives a bit of a cooling sensation and not really a burning feeling. If you're looking for a variety of colors, then this is definitely the lip plumper for you.

Different Kinds of Blushes!

Blush is a great way to make your face look fun, fresh and sun kissed, but there are some different kinds of blushers that can work better for different skin types. Here I'll list some great alternatives to the classic  powder blush, and what kinds of skin types each is good for. I'll also list some high end products as well as some drug store brand products that are really great and that you might want to purchase!
POWDER BLUSHES
These types of blushes are the most common type. They actually work best for people with oily skin With this type of blush, its easy to apply with a brush, but sometimes is hard to correct if too much is applied. However, they work beautifully when applied with a light hand.

High End Favorite : Nars (any Nars blush is top of the line)..... $28.00
Low End Favorite : NYX...... $6.00

CREAM BLUSHES
These types of blushes are wonderful for a slight hint of color to the cheeks and are wonderful for dryer skin types. It can be applied easily with your finger tips by dabbing it onto the cheeks or using a sponge. It can be hard for first time usage when trying to figure out how they work. However when you do find the right way to apply it, it is AWESOME.

High End Favorite : MAC Cream Bluch (I love the color Lilicent)..... $18.50
Low End Favorite: Revlon Cream Blush .....about $10.00

GEL BLUSH
These types of blushes are really really great for dry, or combination skin types. I love these types of blushes. They go on beautifully and give your cheeks such a natural looking tint. I like to apply them with my fingers or a sponge.

High End Favorite: Tarte Cheek Stain (100% organic) .....$30.00
Low End Favorite: Revlon Pinch Me Sheer Gel Blush .....$12.00

TIPS ON SELF TANNER!

We all want to be as tan as ever at all times of the year, but sometimes its hard to achieve that summer glow in the winter. There are so many different tanning methods, but tanning beds can cause skin cancer. There are TONS of ways to get a beautiful tan, but there are some important steps that we need to take in order for it to look natural! Here's some tips on how to get that summer glow!

1. PREPARE YOUR SKIN : Make sure that you are makeup and lotion free. Start by taking a hot shower and exfoliating your body to take of any dead skin. If you forget this step, your skin may begin to look blotchy and flakey after a few days of application.

2. APPLY AN EVEN THIN LAYER OF TANNER : Whether your using lotion, spray or foam, you must make sure you apply it sparingly but evenly. Once it's dried, you can apply another coat for a deeper tan. If you are fair, apply one coat, wait until your tan appears (about 2 hours later) and then decide whether or not to apply another coat.

3. DONT FORGET : Apply your tanner to your neck, ears, and tops of the feet for a nice even tan.

4. WASH YOUR HANDS IMMEDIATELY : In order to avoid fake orange looking hands, wash with soap after you apply any tanner. The product will stain the inside of your fingers and palms if you dont wash them!

5. WAIT 15 MINUTES : Before applying your makeup, or getting dressed! It is super important to follow this step so your tan wont get smudged or streaky.

6. IT WILL SHOW UP! : Most tanners dont show up until 2 hours after you apply them. So plan ahead if your going to an event, and be patient!!

7. TAN GRADUALLY : Apply tanner every other day to achieve a gradual natural tan.

Thanks so much for reading ! I hope these tips on tanning helped you guys out! A new video is soon to come so keep your eyes open and spread the word!

My Top 3 Favorite Eye Makeup Products!

Sometimes it can be hard to pick good products for your eye makeup. Being that theres so many brands of makeup, and so much to choose from, I've narrowed down my 3 favorite eye makeup products! I hope this helps you guys when you go shopping for makeup!

  • Inglot Eyeshadows
    • These eyeshadows by the brand INGLOT are absolutely incredible! They are very comparable  to Mac products but they are a little bit more affordable. They have a system called the "freedom system", which means that you can create your own palette, and customize which colors are fit for you. They have a HUGE amount of colors and they are all extremely pigmented and they are really creamy. They can be found in stores in New York City, Las Vegas and a few other cities in the country. They also have a website which you can order from.

  • Sephora Brand Waterproof Eyeliner
    • These eyeliners are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They are extremely creamy and they last ALL DAY. They aren't that expensive either! They have quite a few different colors, but the black is SUPER BLACK and it is my favorite color! These can be found in Sephora stores or on their website!

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
    • This eye primer is my all time favorite. It is thin in consistency but yet it still keeps your eye makeup on throughout your entire day! It comes in a squeeze tube or a tube with a wand. It is about $18.00 and can be found at Sephora, Ulta or either of those websites.

I hope that this was helpful for you guys in picking out some eye products. Please comment and tell your friends and family to stay posted on future reviews and videos! Thanks for reading !

Beach Beauty Tips !

We've all experienced dry hair, and dry skin at the beach during the summer. For example, I have very curly hair, and if I don't treat it the right way at the beach, my hair tends to look dead and dry. Here are some beach tips to keep your skin and hair healthy and glowing while still soaking up the sun!

HAIR TIPS:
  • Always bring conditioner. If you have curly or wavy or color treated hair, this is a must. When you  come out of the salt water, it tends to damage your hair and dry it out.
  • Bring a comb or brush and leave in conditioner or detangler. It's super important to comb through your hair at the beach while its wet to avoid breakage and dryness.
  • If you have brown or dark hair, DON'T USE SUN IN. It will turn your hair orange... (learned from experience :(...)
SKIN TIPS:
  • ALWAYS use sunscreen of at least 15-30 SPF. This will prevent freckles, skin tags, and skin cancer or burns.
  • Use a beauty balm on the face. It works WONDERS. (I will do a review on different beauty balms, what they do, and where you can find them)
  • MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE! I cannot stress this enough! It is so so important to use a non alcohol based moisturizer on your entire body when you leave the beach. Otherwise you will find yourself with dry and cracked skin.

Thanks so much for reading! I hope this was helpful for you guys while you make your way to the beach! PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS and suggestions ! Have a great day!

My Top 3 Drugstore Brand Mascaras!

Everyone wants long, thick and beautiful lashes but sometimes the prices of high end brands are ridicules! Here I've picked my top 3 favorite drugstore brand mascaras that will work just as well as the high end brands.

Great Lash by Maybelline

Pros:

  • This mascara is CLASSIC. If you already have thick lashes this mascara will give you the length you need and it stays put all day.
  • Its only about $7.00 and it works wonders in giving your eyelashes extra length.
  • You only need to apply 2 coats of it
Cons:
  • It gives length, but you may need to mix it with another mascara for volume as well
  • It makes the lashes a little bit hard and if you don't use the right makeup remover it can damage the lashes.
Over all I definitely give this mascara a 4.5 out of 5.

Lash Blast by Covergirl

Pros
  • This mascara is great for thickening as well as lengthening, it makes the lashes look full and completes a smokey eye look wonderfully.
  • Its only about $6.00 at Target and comes with a lot of product.
  • You only need 1 coat of mascara
Cons
  • It smells a little funky
  • It tends to dry out a little bit fast
Over all I give this mascara a 4.8 out of 5.

Illegal Length Fiber Extension Mascara by Maybelline

Pros
  • Gives GREAT length to the lashes
  • Looks lightly feathered when applied
  • Nice thin wand is easy to control
Cons
  • A bit watery when applied and smudges easily before its dried
  • Tends to crumble a little bit onto the face
Over all I would give this product a 4 out of 5.

Thank you guys so much for reading ! I hope this helped you with picking a mascara thats right for you!  Please post comments and tell your friends and family to come check out my blog ! :) Thanks again!

Tips for different skin types!

If you are someone who is struggling with dry or oily skin, applying different types of makeup can get frustrating! Here I will list some different tips for these skin types that will allow you to apply makeup with ease, and help eliminate problem areas of your face!

Dry Skin Tips:
  • Try applying a moisturizer with sunscreen in it. When you apply your foundation on top, you'll notice a more dewy finish to your face without dry flaking.
  • When choosing a foundation, choose one with a satin finish, NOT a matte finish. Satin finish foundations with also give you more moisture and give more of a glow to the face. (Try the Revlon Photo Ready foundation)
  • This next tip is a bit out of the ordinary: before you go to bed at night, after taking off all of your makeup and washing your face, apply castor oil all over the face until its almost blended in. It will not clog your pores, but it will give you moisture. When you wake up, its almost gone!
  • Avoid alcohol based facial washes or scrubs. Try using a lathering facial wash that looks like a cream.
Oily Skin Tips:
  • Use a gentle cleanser on the face. While trying to eliminate the greasy finish of the skin, you don't want to strip the skin of the good oils as well.
  • When choosing a foundation, find one with more of a matte finish, not a satin finish. Matte finish foundations will make the skin look smoother, and they won't add any shine! (Try the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse or the Revlon Color Stay)
  • If you notice that your skin still looks oily after foundation, try using a loose powder applied to the forehead, nose chin and cheeks. It will help to soak up the oils.
  • You can also try using the Bare Minerals Getting Started kit. It comes with a translucent powder, 2 foundation powders and a warm bronzing powder. Because all of these products are powder, they will eliminate any shine, and soak up the oils. This product works WONDERS and gives you a beautiful flawless face when you're finished.
I hope these tips and tricks were helpful! Thank you so much for reading! Please give me feedback on your thoughts about this post, and any suggestions you may have for future blog posts!
